Overview

Healing and repair peptides are among the most researched compounds in the peptide world. Body Protection Compound 157 (BPC-157), Thymosin Beta-4 (TB-500), Copper Peptide GHK-Cu, and related compounds work through distinct but complementary mechanisms — angiogenesis, actin regulation, collagen synthesis, and anti-inflammatory signaling — to accelerate tissue repair beyond what the body does on its own. Whether you're dealing with a torn tendon, chronic gut issues, or a stubborn shoulder injury, these peptides have some of the most consistent research support in the space.

BPC-157

Body Protection Compound 157

Mechanism

Promotes angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation), modulates nitric oxide, upregulates growth hormone receptors, and has direct anti-inflammatory effects. Shown to accelerate tendon-to-bone healing in animal studies.

Benefits

  • Accelerated tendon and ligament repair
  • Gut healing and protection (IBD, leaky gut)
  • Counteracts NSAID-induced gut damage
  • Systemic and local anti-inflammatory
  • Neuroprotective effects

Dosing

250–500mcg per day. For acute injuries, many researchers use twice daily (BID) dosing. 500mcg is the common working dose.

Reconstitution

10mg vial + 3mL BAC water = 3,333mcg/mL. Draw 7.5 units for 250mcg, 15 units for 500mcg.

Cycle Length

4–12 weeks depending on injury severity. Acute injuries: 4–6 weeks. Chronic conditions: 8–12 weeks.

Timing

Morning injection near the injury site works well. Systemic injection (belly fat) is equally researched for gut and systemic effects.

Stacks Well With

TB-500 (synergistic for healing), GHK-Cu (tissue remodeling), KPV (gut inflammation)

Cautions

May accelerate proliferation of existing tumors due to angiogenic properties. Avoid with active cancer history.

TB-500

Thymosin Beta-4 Fragment

Mechanism

Regulates actin — the protein that forms the cellular cytoskeleton. Promotes cell migration, angiogenesis, and differentiation. Has documented heart muscle repair effects in animal models.

Benefits

  • Systemic tissue repair (works throughout the body)
  • Flexibility improvement
  • Reduced inflammation and scar tissue
  • Heart muscle recovery
  • Faster return-to-activity after injury

Dosing

Loading phase: 4–8mg per week (split into 2 injections) for 4–6 weeks. Maintenance: 2mg per week indefinitely.

Reconstitution

10mg vial + 3mL BAC water = 3,333mcg/mL. Draw 30 units for 1mg, 60 units for 2mg.

Cycle Length

Loading 4–6 weeks, then maintenance. Can run indefinitely at maintenance dose.

Timing

Twice weekly injections (e.g., Mon/Thu). SubQ or IM, rotation of sites.

Stacks Well With

BPC-157 (the classic combo), GHK-Cu

Cautions

Same cancer concern as BPC-157. Start with lower loading dose if new to peptides.

GHK-Cu

Copper Peptide GHK-Cu, Glycyl-L-Histidyl-L-Lysine copper

Mechanism

Natural tripeptide-copper complex found in human plasma. Stimulates collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis, promotes wound healing, has potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, and activates hundreds of beneficial genes.

Benefits

  • Skin rejuvenation and anti-aging
  • Hair growth stimulation
  • Wound and scar healing
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Neuroprotection
  • Collagen synthesis

Dosing

Injectable: 1,000–2,000mcg daily. Topical: 1–2% concentration in serum.

Reconstitution

50mg vial + 3mL BAC water = 16,667mcg/mL. To reduce sting: use 5–10mL BAC water instead.

Cycle Length

Can be run continuously. 8–12 week injectable cycles are common.

Timing

Daily SubQ injection. For hair/skin benefits, topical application 1–2x daily.

Stacks Well With

BPC-157, TB-500 (in GLOW/KLOW blends), Zinc Thymulin (topical — but not at the same time)

Cautions

Can cause stinging at injection site — reduce by using more BAC water to dilute. Do not mix topical Zinc Thymulin and GHK-Cu simultaneously.

KPV

Lys-Pro-Val, Alpha-MSH fragment

Mechanism

C-terminal fragment of alpha-MSH (melanocyte-stimulating hormone). Potent anti-inflammatory via NF-kB inhibition. Effective orally at higher doses for gut conditions.

Benefits

  • Gut inflammation reduction (IBD, Crohn's, colitis)
  • Systemic anti-inflammatory
  • Wound healing support
  • Oral bioavailability for gut-targeted effects

Dosing

Injectable: 200–300mcg daily. Oral: 500–1,000mcg (lower bioavailability, gut-targeted).

Reconstitution

10mg vial + 3mL BAC water = 3,333mcg/mL.

Cycle Length

4–8 weeks. Often cycled with BPC-157 for gut healing.

Timing

Injectable: anytime SubQ. Oral: 30 min before meals for gut targeting.

Stacks Well With

BPC-157 (synergistic for gut), included in KLOW blend

Cautions

Well-tolerated. No major cautions reported.
